I see what looks like a Fender amp next to the piano, was that something George used at that time? It's set back. It appears George has a Vox and right next to Paul's Vox bass amp.

Could that be a Bassman for Paul?

Brian Epstein had a handshake agreement with Vox that The Beatles would use Vox amps exclusively, so it's unusual to see them with anything else up until Epstein's death (which is when the Fenders started getting used in the studio).

4 knobs on the left channel indicates Showman/Dual Showman

I'd bet money, (but not a lot) that amp belongs to a supporting act. Don't believe The Beatles used a piano live at that time either......but about all their shows had other bands as well.

Piano if used by the Beatles or another group perhaps just had the Fender as part of the backline.

That is a really cool photo I've never seen before. Spare Hofner and Gretsch Tennessean with no stand and just on the floor. Wow.

I agree the Tennessean is probably on the floor, but the other instruments (I believe) are on stands. The perspective of that photo is messed up. Look at the Vox amps in their trolleys.....they are slightly tilted back, but NOT so much that they point upwards. Not sure exactly how to get this effect, but it's funny.

Sorry, but a Fender amp, blonde Bassman, was used in the studio before BEs death. John Lennon has been photographed using a BF Deluxe during the Pepper era.

Vox agreement was probably for live shows.

    That's a rendering.

But they were using a Showman and a Dual Showman in the studio at that time.

As for the OP, the piano and Fender amp are for the support act.

The Beatles did use a Fender amp on stage for some shows, but it was a blonde 6G6-A Bassman which was used with a combo organ.

I think the salient point in the OP is that the Fender is the only amp not mic'd up.
