Ok so I'm nobody's lumberjack metro or anything like that, but I find a drizzle from the stopper prevents my beard from being a dry haystack and gives a nice smooth feel.

    Anyone else?

Love me some beard oil, but I have to be a bit picky over the scent.

    Coconut oil works pretty well.

    Beard, oil?
I have a trimmed beard, and I apply a little garden variety lotion to my entire head and face.
Occasionally I’ll put a little of this on it (my mug), too.

I didn't like the oil, it seemed to get all over my hands and not in my beard. That being said, I like beard balm.

HAHAHAHA! I can't say 90% of the smart-ass remarks running through my head right now... this made me chuckle out loud. I have no interest in knowing what her hoo-hah smells like (or smelling like it, for that matter).

My wife got me some beard oil a year ago for Christmas that works really well, but right out of the box it made my beard smell like it hadn't been washed in a year or so... it was musty and almost moldy smelling. The only thing I can figure is that it had already gone stale before she bought it?

When I'm in a pinch, I get a little vial of the beard oil that they sell at our local Wal-Mart. It's less expensive than a lot of the boutique oils out there, works well, and has several man-pleasing scents. I am just waiting for someone to make beard oil that smells like 2-stroke motorcycle race gas exhaust...

    It's man stuff.

My younger son is 19 and still doesn't need to shave, I tell him it's ok, any punk kid can grow whiskers, it takes a real man to hold it in :)

I use beard oil everyday, a few drops after I get out of the shower. My favorite brand is Detroit Grooming Co, favorite kind Cork Town. It keeps the beard from getting wiry feeling, gives it a nice sheen and cuts down on dandruff.

I started out with this, earlier last year

I'm nearly through it, and I've got this at the ready

Neither one was expensive at all. Hopefully this second bottle is as effective as the first one I tried

that cedar and sandalwood stuff is nice, i've got some beard balm scented that way. I'm happier with the oil, I've found

Same here. I don't apply it directly, but I have a wood comb I carry around (my facial hair walks a fine line between "respectable" and "I just woke up in a wind tunnel"), and rubbing a little oil onto the comb and using that seems to do the trick.

Hmm...I've had a beard for seventeen years and never knew such a product existed.

Maybe I need to get out more...

I thought it was a bunch of hipster B.S. Then winter came on, I like black tee shirts and Ms. darkwaters was forever making "brush the front of your shirt, honey" motions in my direction. In October we were shopping in Camden Market and I saw a shop selling beard oil. Ah, what the hell. I bought some (Sweyn Forkbeard 1013) and, gotta say, I love it.

I also recommend using hair conditioner on your beard when you shower. Between that and the beard oil, the problem is about 95% fixed. And it didn't make me look like this:

    Welllll, maybe a little.
