Be honest: do you sometimes just admire or stare at your guitars ?

As I was just looking at my guitars - they are in my living room -, I was wondering something tonight: do you sometimes just admire/stare at your guitars ? (and not play them ?)
As in ”boy, they look great, I am proud of my collection/choices” ?

I have to admit, I quite often do that !
Damn straight. A well made guitar is a work of art in every way, not the least of which visually.

Yes, I love the details and design of all the guitars I own. The most boring of them is still fascinating…the fact that I’ll add little weird flourishes makes them even cooler to look at.

I have a thing for Blondes with chunky necks!

Especially the Chunky Neck.......lol
You’d love my cousin!

His shirt collar is 19.5…but he’s losing his hair a little, so that might temper your enthusiasm about him.

Not really, besides they are usually in the case because I don't display my guitars. I usually only have one or two out at any given time. I do love looking at guitars though.

At one time I did. Now, I really don’t give them any thought.

At some point it will become less important to many of you. I could be just as happy with other guitars.

There are often threads about “regret of selling guitars or other gear”. I have no regrets. To the contrary, I regret the two dozen guitars I purchased and then later sold. Chasing gear is a fools errand.

I agree, from this perspective: We should all go for what we *really* want, rather than choosing to settle for "stuff" that is a mere substitute.

By the way, this goes for every aspect of our lives, whether it be gear, jobs, dates and relationships, etc. This is our only life we're promised--we should go for what we really want!
