Back in the early '70's in the UK came the Bay City Rollers, Not sure how big they were elsewhere but in the UK you're talking Beatlemania ! Anyway...the guy was only 65 and I'm surprised he was so young as I'm 58 and I thought he was much older....He'd gone through most of the vices of a lead singer....and along with Badfinger...was victim of another manager/accountant rip off ! They sold 120 million records...and at the height of his fame he earned a paltry £25k. He brought out a book...Life as an International Pop Star about his life and the money taken from him. A sad story indeed.

For whatever reason I was thinking about the Bay City Rollers the other day. They were part of the AM radio landscape when I was a kid.

Back in middle school when the issue of Dynamite Magazine came out with the Bay City Rollers I was like, "Those bastards are gonna steal all the girls!"
