When I got my first bass and amp (it was also a Fender Rumble 25) the first bass line I set out to learn was The Jam's "A Town Called Malice." Why that one:

1. it wasn't that difficult
2. it was Motown without being as difficult to play as Motown.
3. it's fun as heck to play

Give it a go (there's tabs on the net) and you will be playing a Motown-like bass line.

Catching Flies - Kite Hill Theme (Freddie Joachim Remix) is one of my current obsessions. Perfect lazy afternoon song:

Silversun Pickups - Panic Switch

Tame Impala - The Less I Know the Better

Big Data - Dangerous (official video is probably nsftdpri so seek it out at your own risk)

"Crossroads"

It wasn't in regular rotation, but we (bass player and I) jammed on it routinely.

I've bookmarked a bunch of these great songs and tried a few out. I could easily become overwhelmed but I guess do have the rest of my life to work on playing bass.
I use YouTube's Playlist feature for stuff like that, eg Music Production, Reaper, Bass Songs, etc
