Bass cut capacitor values

Have a build project near completion and the circuit calls for a bass / treble cut tone control. I'll use a stacked concentric audio log 500k pot. The treble cut is no problem and I'll use a .022mf standard cap.

I have used various treble bleeders generally settling at .00068mf to .001mf range sometimes with resistors in parallel. These values sound pretty natural as you turn down but nowhere near what you would call a bass cut.

What range would I look at where more bass starts to bleed to ground?
I need a good effect of a trebley tone with it wound off.

2.2nF (2200pF) works fine for me for a bass cut and is G&L's standard value for the bass cut in their PTB controls.

Hi there!I have the same problem with dual stack 250k/500k CTS pot from 62jazz bass Suspect that I have a wrong wiring ..the bottom knob not react as it should I use this doc ument as a reference

Are you talking about a large treble cut resistor between the hot and the wiper of the tone control? In that case a larger value capacitor keeps the treble of the tone coming even when the volume is turned down.
Or do you mean a capacitor with its own pot that forces the signal through the capacitor when the control is turned down? This is what Andrey's circuit shows. My experience with these is that it is best to use a big enough capacitor the the effect is very subtle. Otherwise the sound becomes too quiet to be of much use.
