    Nick--Thanks for that. I hate when the conclusion is you get what you pay for. I love when the conclusion is: "Don't waste your money on the expensive stuff because it's all just marketing hype." But thanks for the info.

    I would suggest purchasing an inexpensive 20' cable with one end angled and the other straight. Learn what end works best on each guitar, pedal, and amp and decide what is your optimum length for your room. Then buy the tweed cable that you really want. Then you have a spare cable.
