Howdy all- I just ordered a ghost silver Baritone Tele, and noticed that Fender does not (yet anyway) offer a Fender branded case for it. I even went as far as calling G&G in Los Angeles, and Fender in Scottsdale and they both verified it. They (G&G) said they would MAKE ME ONE for about a jillion dollars, but before I cash in my lotto tix from last night (yeah right) I thought I would inquire here. Does anyone know if a Mustang Bass (shortest Fender Bass) case is wide enough at the lower bouts to fit the baritone? I know that it is surely long enough. Also, anyone have other thoughts or ideas on where to look for an old school type case that would fit? I think I will probably fork out the dough for a custom from G&G if I can't find something in the old, original hard-shell style.

You guys (and gals) ROCK! And some of you roll...

Thanks in advance,

You don't want a gig bag? That would work, for certain. I pack my stuff in a Subaru for gigs, so I use 'em.

I'll take a good gig bag over a hardshell case too, besides not worrying about tearing up the leather in my car I can squeeze more of em in my closets..

I searched ebay for quite some time and finally found a G&G case on there with a vague description and low price. I emailed and got all the interior dimensions and I knew it would work for my baritone esquire, will try and get some pics of it...Anyway, I'm not sure what this case came with or was made for but it looks like it was made for my baritone!

a) the regular Fender hard cases don't have enough extra room at the headstock end.

b) it doesn't look like the original poster has been here much since 2012, when this thread was posted. Not that the dimensions of regular Fender hard cases, or the Blacktop Baritone Tele have changed in the interim, just that this may not be a lively discussion thread.
