Well, mentioned to my teacher I might pick up a cheapish guitar to mess around with playing slide.
He mentioned he had an unused Tele stashed away. Gave it to me at the weekend and I started setting it up for slide work. Few issues, some of the guys on the ‘other’ channel are helping but, whether or not it’s eventually used for slide, I just told my teacher ‘yes please’ and asked ‘how much?’ It’s Korean, 1979 and he’s had it from new. Few of the usual bottom-edge dings on the back but otherwise very good.
His answer to my question was ‘eighty quid do you?’ Couldn’t resist!
