Well, it was fun while it lasted. Trying to make the wrong switch work and all.

Done. All set. Works fine. Mod success. Spdt on/off/on switch. That's all. Like the diagram says. No problem. Easy peasy. Rock out. Switch tips. Batter up. Penny dreadful is a good show. Demo tomorrow I think. I like that the guitar works, did I mention? Hours spent. Kick off your shoes, move the furniture, crank the Dead and boogie.

I'm on my 3rd high e string cause of this evil locking tuner! Must've had a sharp edge in there so when I tightened her down it just cut the string like wire cutters. Humped it with a welding tip cleaner file and problem solved.

Wait, looking at the picture... I didn't even try to unscrew the top all the way out to file it... I wonder if it comes all the way out. Maybe I subconsciously preferred to hump it.

Many thanks you guys! Im psyched to see some other builds finished. Good projects!

I had to delay the final jam vid due to tinkering with electronics and issues with theses GFS locking tuners.

Experimenting with the behavior of Robs uniquely built pickup, I've had to repeatedly take the strings on and off several times.

3 high e's, a low E and an A sting have broken off at the tuner. I don't think I tightened the lock down that hard, just snug and they've been crimping and snapping my strings.

If ya wanna see pics of one of these tuners taken apart I'll post it.
I went through and did my best to knock off any sharp edges at the string loading holes. We'll see.

As far as the pickup goes, it's super cool and sounds absolutely glorious in all 3 positions. Each one unique and open up all sorts of creative Musical avenues, ... On clean tone settings.

Once I kick on some distortion though, I cannot tame the buzz. Not saying it can't be done but I feel like I've tried everything.

I just wired up the neck pickups brother in the bridge the same way I had the 'Psychotic' and its behaving normally. Whatcha think captain Barncaster?

It is an experimental pickup, Rob will tell ya! ;)

I need to go grab some strings!:lol:

I think it's all a grand experiment. And in the spirit of our friend Andy Brain, I think this R&D pickup needs to be sanded down for some refin. Hopefully not more than once. Stay tuned!
