Anyone else have a band(s) you like but repeatedly forget about for long periods of time? For me, one of them is Cracker. I heard Get on Down the Road today on KPIG (our local Americana station extraordinaire) and now I will go on a Cracker binge then likely go several years after that forgetting to listen to Cracker.

This has happened at least 3 or 4 times. I now realize the problem with this thread is asking you to remember bands you have forgotten but anyone have bands they like who tend to drift out of mind?

Afghan Whigs. Greg Dulli is the embodiment of a troubled genius.

Can’t remember any at the moment, because I forgot them.

I spend all of my time convinced that Boston isn’t very good and is overly annoying, but when I listen to them, I actually quite like it.

    Go figure.

    I recently rediscovered Poco
    ( I'm old)
and remember getting into their music in the late 1970's in HS and College as I loved all the Country -Rock and Southern Rock that was all over FM radio
This is when I was just starting to learn guitar ( about 15-16) and my ears just absorbed a ton of great music

Now I'm into listening to the original Poco band lineup from say 1969 and the music is really creative, and musicianship is top notch!

For little discernible reason, that made me remember that I forgot I like Texas Tornados.

If it gets me on the door, then I suddenly remember I like my friend's bands.

My desert island band. He's lost Sean Smith and Dave Rosser, yet Lanegan is still kicking. Whoulda thunk?

Black Love was such an incredible album. I dont listen to them for a year, and then I cant turn them off for another.

    Crackers a great example.

Ill add, Curve does it for me.

    Hmm, tough...
So many I liked but didn't heard in decades, maybe never again.
Too many new/old music and not that much time for all.

Led Zeppelin, The Cars, Ian Dury and the Blockheads, Nirvana, Pixies, Bo Didley, Lenny Kravitz, J.& Mary Chain, Robert Palmer, Eels, Fela Kuti, J.Guitar Watson, Prince, Buzzcocks, undertones, Barracudas, Devo...

The older I'm getting the more I go into roots (Country, R.Roll, Funk, Jazz, Blues...).

Lots I suppose but probably ZZ Top whom I rediscover about every three years. If I listen to them too much I start thinking dull, cliched blues rock band. Then I rediscover them and think humorous, inventive, sublime guitar parts.
