No sir. Tony Banks in particular is quite essential to their sound (not that Mike isn't).

John got pooched by sony, his solo career got side tracked before it even started all band members were released from contracts except john and he had to relinquish all rights to his own music plus any endevours for a 10 year period , he recorded the old man down the road and sony pounced on him stating that it sounded too much like run through the jungle and took that away from him as well.
I was never a fan of CCR , but I have nothing but respect for mr. Fogerty , his was the only band in history were he had full control over , writing, booking .managing, recording all aspects of the industry and that was stripped from him with out recourse.
I worked for him as a roadie he put on a good show once the legalities were worked out , but I must say I'm still not a fan.

    That's true.

The same argument doesn't hold for these albums that he recorded just a couple years after CCR split, though:

(Hoodoo was actually rejected by his record company and never officially released. He later asked them to destroy the master tapes.)

I was just going to say, John Fogerty did mention in an interview that the record company told him it wasn't good enough for release, and later on he agreed. But I also think he was creatively spent at that point, and if Credence had stayed together, they would have sucked also.

First you don't understand your own question and now you don't know how trains work.

    Embarrassing day for you.

The production on Hoodoo is so ‘80’s ****ty it’s hard to evaluate the song... Fogerty needs solid bare bones production... that’s who he is.

Steve Tylers version of old rubber lips was lamentable with Snarlin" Joe's gunslinger antics always left me wish I was at a Pete Seeger banjo recital of the Weaver greatest hits Brad and the rhythm sect held it all together, the "Toxic Twins" would have us believe, but they lack to penmanship and punctuation of the authentic Item
... yeah but they were always a great great contributor to the corporate coffers. Great earners, excellent press photos.
