I remember most of the classic rock bands from the late 60s and 70s lost their direction in the 80s and their music became worse...

Is there a pop/rock band (or artist) that still made good music after his/her/their golden era and didnt try to adapt to modern music?

Just a Covid question, I guess there will be a few more in the next days haha.

Youre right! Bruce wrote a lot of good songs in the late 80s.

How 'bout the Hollies, only in reverse. Good stuff in the beginning, not so good (my humble opinion)
    later on.

He had a few weak albums in a row in the 80’s (some say on purpose) but came back as strong as ever when he got Crazy Horse back

Their music stayed quite strong. But they did change their style around 1980, before Tom Sawyer etc. they mostly did classic hard rock and prog influenced by Zep/Floyd.

    I agree.
I am very impressed with them though because I think they made excellent music every decade from the 70's up until their last album.
