I’ve heard of swinging a Telecaster, but never a cymbal stand.

It’s always the drummer and the singer.

    Always.

There’s something so satisfying about a band meltdown.

After Neil Young tried beating up mini-Sammy Hagar, the Little Red Rocker grabbed his matching red Members-Only jacket, hopped into his Pontiac Fiero & drove off into the night...at 56mph.

Seriously, after either 1987 or the age of 35...stage an intervention if a friend still dresses like that.

    Yikes!
I had a similar experience between a bass player and drummer.
They started it right before a break.
They took it outside, and I could hear it from inside.
These are veteran geezer musicians, like me.
Alcohol, egos, and long simmering grudges were at play, too.
    Homey (me) don't play.
    I refuse to "do" drama.
    "Barworld", Sheesh!

It's never good when your fights are better than your music. But everybody there that night will remember those guys.

This is why I stopped gigging. Last gig 27 years ago, broke an Gibson SG copy over the singers head, got a mike stand thrown at my forehead, happy days, lots of stitches.

Bass player was right in the zone. No distractions for him.

I saw this earlier on FB....pretty funny. I think the drummer walked away with a cymbal divot on the back of his head. The little guy took him down like he was going to go Brazilian Jujitsu on him...until the drummer fell off the stage. Brilliant!! I've had rehearsals where I felt like this might happen but never on stage.

I like how the bass player stays calm, then moves slowly back, putting out an ineffectual hand. I’m guessing he’s thinking “oh no, not again!”

I'm starting to worry about our 1st post-you-know-what gig!! We haven't played together for well over a year now...
