Love this, especially the half ashtray bridge. Great job.

Cool looking guitar. How does the Roswell pickup sound?

I don’t ask about the QP because I already know first hand it rocks!

    .

Is the Roswell pulled from a Harley Benton, or aftermarket?

4-way switch in there or only the Baja neck?

The Roswell has a big sound with clear highs, fat sounding but transparent.

After testing the Quarter Pound, i don't like the Pickup at all.
    Totally muffled and midhonky.

Now i ordered another Roswell Big Mag for the bridge position.

Not that fast, Cowboy! You need a 500k volume pot with an overwound single coil pickup. Trust me.

No, the neck pickup is also overwound (9,7k) and has more heighs than the bridge.
I think the Roswell bridge will fit better.

I have a Squier SQ Japan Tele which i bought 1980, it has an old version of the Quarter Pound bridge which came with it and this is a totally different pickup.
It is crisp, lot of twang and the guitar has 250kOhm pots, so i think Seymour Duncan changed something.

Derek Duncan admitted that they changed some suppliers over the last 50 years, but they never changed the receipes.
My money is on different pot values!

Maybe, but i can compare the pickups side by side in my two Teles and it's day and night.

    Thank you.

The Roswell neck pickup is fantastic so i think the bridge pickup will be great too.

I changed the Pickup in the bridge.
As i suspected: the treble and twang is back, but with more bass, mids and punch than a vintage pickup.
