I'm planning on picking one of this up eventually. What is a good price for a Blonde Baja?
Come the Labor Day weekend there may be online sales, maybe a discount of 15% off the regular price of $799.
Happy birthday to me, Happy birthday to meeeeee
I've just received my baja from England this morning => in a word: amazing
Serial number: MZ9506960
* With my US lonestar strat
* With my R7
* With my SG Jr
Now, waiting for a nice tweed case
Very nice, you can cover everything with those guitars. The Baja Tele may be the only thing safe from those riots in the UK. :neutral:
Got a tweed case ready for the Baja!! No guitar yet though!
Since a week or so i changed the 0.1 cap to a 0.47 and have to say i like it!
Not too dark on the neck pickup.
My Baja is about 6 months old and I'm loving it so far (she's obviously the one on the right). The serial number is
MX10271547 and she weighs in at a whopping 9.4 pounds. That compares to the blackout Tele is just bought last week, weighing in at only 7.6 pounds and I've never got around to weighing the Nashville. Personally I like the heft of a heavier guitar. I did change out the PG on the Baja for a WD Music Products WBW. Don't know if that will show up in the picture but I think the black stripe in the middle adds that little something to just the plain single ply white guard that came with it.
Another sunburst baja owner here. I've already posted some pics on the main telecaster forum and I'll try to get some better shots on the weekend and post here. Just had her properly setup by a luthier - what a difference!
Rehearsed with my band yesterday, first time since I bought my Baja so of course I brought it out to play. To be completely blown away afterwards. I mean, this thing sounds good when I'm noodling around in my bedroom, but in a band context it's just the next level. Cuts through the mix like no other when paired with my AC30, it's never harsh and actually sounds quite fat.
I'm in love
I also gave my TV Jones equipped Gretsch a spin, same story as above. I never expected pickups could do so much for a guitar.
Thanks for getting this line of questions going!
I just decided I know what is holding a trans beige/blonde partscaster I have back. I'm gonna change the cap on it to something lesser in value. Thanks!!
Can anyone tell me what is the thickness of his Baja neck?
How did it change the tone?
Got my tweed case yesterday & did a "light relic" on it:
I have a FSR Lake Placid Blue Baja that i bought recently but never got used to the neck with my small hands. Love the sounds the guitar produces though, however i've decided it's going on eBay tomorrow.
if you like the guitar but hate the neck... why not buy a new neck? (especially cause i dont know if theres a loss of resale value because of the LPB colour...)
Love my baja
Here's mine. 2008 blonde. Great transparancy, and pretty light weight for a Baja (7.4 lbs as is). Decided to go with humbuckers (vintage SD's), but missing the single coil sound of that CS Broadcaster in the bridge. Might replace the hummies with Duncan Phat Cat P90's and see if I get some of that sc sound back. Still my fav tele ever!
Thats a sharp looking guitar! I am really digging the series tones on the Baja...it gets me close enough to bucker territory.
I just bought a secondhand Baja (’07 Desert Sand). I never liked Tele’s, but that soft “V” neck changed my mind. So count me in.
Is that a Seymour Duncan hotrails in the bridge?
I am very curious how that will sound on a Baja.
