Yes, please show those pictures. I have never seen anything like that.
Sorry to hear about that. Did you get to play it?
Here is my Baja.
I must lookup the serial number.
I so love this girl/woman for all the right reasons. She is like a dream come true. Wait, I don't really know what her personality is like! Oh who cares.
will download them tonight and post tomorrow at work.
I did play it for a bit (super sweet), but since I knew it was going back I did not want to get attached so I put it back in the bag and box and it was off to GC.
Okay guys, nice thread!
I took some more photo''s, hope you like it.

Rocker that looks awesome! I was considering doing this to my Baja, putting on a bigsby-but I fell in love with the bridge once it was setup properly. I might still get another just for the trem. How did it affect the sound/feel/tone?
Any audio of the trem in action?
Oh, btw I think there is an updated list of Baja owners a few pages back-I noticed that I wasnt on your list.http://www.tdpri.com/forum/images/smilies/confused.gif
I love my Bigsby. Not only does it sound killer, but using it while playing is also easy. A Stratocaster tremolo might sometimes be less convenient to use. Or the trem has fallen downwards, or the trem has too much distance to the strings. With a Bigsby, it's user friendly. But it's more subtle than a Strat trem. No divebombs here. But very useful anyway. Especially with chords.
Tonewise, it will give a little beefer sound. Not overwhelming, but some off the very high tones are reduced. Which is fine with me, because I aint a country picker, but a bluesrocker. Playwise I had to get used to the different setup. String action was a bit higher and the Mustang bridge had some minor inconveniances, but either I fixed that or I get use to it.
I have no audio examples. With my band Wildcard Dukes, we are going to make a studio album later this year.
(I picked the last long list, so I don''t know why your name has fallen off. I' m sorry)
Here are two videos from a gig last week. Unfortunately it was played on my backup amp. A solid state Marshall Lead combo from the 80s.

More Bigsby abuse here: Slow blues in C:
Hope you like it!!!
Rock you tear those up man! Great tones out of the Baja and Im glad to hear that the harmonics are still jumping out with the trem.
Seriously you got some tone in that axe!
I got my passport up to date and made a direct shot to "Desperadoville" - fabled land of Tony the Mellecaster.
He (and Art T.) were able to help me out with becoming a member of the Baja Club. I picked up a Desert Sand model he had been holding on to for a while. He raised the action and threw on some new strings, and I couldn't be happier.
Great little guitar.
and Tony couldn't be nicer in person or more happy to accommodate whatever I needed while I was thinking about buying. Also got a tour of his shop and some of the great recrafted guitars he's got there.
Sadly, I can only recycle the picture Tony posted put up on the website, but I will post some more soon. Real happy with my purchase!
I *should* finally be joining the ranks this weekend with a fine blonde, fingers crossed!
Good luck, Lauke!
I prefer the looks of the blonde, but the Desert Sand has it's own charm that's growing on me.
Fill "us" in when you get her. (I can say "us" now!)
I think the Desert Sand is very good looking, it's really classy and a bit less 'done a million times before' like the blonde. I don't have a choice tough, it's a second hand one
I'd love to one day get my DS Baja refinished in Silver Sparkle ala Don Rich
Man those Bajas are getting lighter and lighter.
Dear Barbara baja's are some good guitars
Happy New Guitar Day!
I took over a Baja from a friend of mine today, as I said earlier already. I've yet to weigh her, then I'll add her to the database. For now I'll just be playing it
She's got a few mods done; the S-1 switch has been taken out (but I still have it), dome knobs, strap locks and a bakelite pickguard have been installed. I also have an ashtray with it. Damn I love that neck. And the body looks like it's a two-piece?
She's got a few scratches and one major chip at the bottom but I couldn't care less about that, guitars are made to be played. Preferably hard and loud.
Here's a quick snap, usually I do a lot more effort but I don't want to set up my studio lighting now.
