Trying to figure out what one would have to do to that poor guitar to get that wear?

But, it's still a tele, by it's simple virtue beautiful.

That is spectacularly crappy! Kind of looks like it was painted with outhouse paint.

Attacked with steel wool, I would say. He obviously had no experience with actual wear patterns on guitars. He just started taking the finish off.

I really like the play wear on the neck on the 6th string above the 17th fret. I know of no guitarist who plays notes there.

You know those jeans that you can buy the look filthy when they're brand new? Well, this is even more stupiderer.

First, I don't like relic'd guitars; I like this one even less. Looks like someone lost control of a belt sander.

Had the guy just left it splotchy and not reliced it I'm sure it would have reliced quite quickly on its own.

Relic jobs crack me up. Nine times out of ten "relic" is code for someone who can't do a proper finish!

It looks like it was recovered from a basement after a flood.....that happened 6 months ago. Awful.

If it were real wear which in this case it certainly isn't. Would be from picks not from fretting notes. Look at Keith Richards teles.

I lived in a place once where the garage flooded and a bunch of my stuff got ruined. That is exactly what it looks like.

I should have written "play wear" as it is obviously not real
