I always thought Dirty Dancing was number one on the list, until I saw Footloose.
That lasted for years until I got about one half through The Anchorman.
Today I got halfway through Dinner For Schmucks until I turned that off.
    it’s a four way tie.

I hate grease. The most anti rock and roll film - be popular and conform. Yeah, that’s what chuck, jerry lee and little Richard said. Elvis did at first...

The cook the thief his wife and her lover was just awful.

    I can’t think of others.

Lake Placid. The last movie I ever saw in a theater. Truth.

Battlefield Earth. I haven't seen a lot of the movies judged to be The Worst, but that I one I watched just because people told me I would not believe how bad it was. They were right.

This could be a long list.
    I'll start with:
Napoleon Dynamite. Still seriously annoyed with the person who recommended that to me.
Step Brothers. Well thats but one of several similar wastes of time.
Bubba HoPet. Yeah someone here recommended that pile. But I'm not pointing fingers.

I know this isn't a popular opinion, but I hated the Joker. I really shouldn't hate it so much, but I just do. it started at the bottom and went down from there. i'd rather watch taxi driver or the king of comedy.

but honestly, I haven't seen a single new movie in the past few years that really appealed to me.

ok, some fairly late movies I liked: the martian, annihilation, it follows, under the skin.

I liked gone girl, but the novel was better.

Holmes and Watson. I am dumber for having allowed myself to be coerced to see that movie.

Old western movies drive me up a wall. Period incorrect clothing, tack, gunleather that didn't exist until 1950, unsafe gun handling (particularly John Wayne), period incorrect firearms and the worst hats ever! Sorry for the rant...

Flight Plan 2005- Hey man, I have an idea. Lets murder the husband of a lady that designs airplanes so we can maneuver her and her daughter onto a plane that she designed along with her dead husband's body and then we will kidnap her daughter so we can make everybody think she is crazy because her daughter doesn't really exist, then we will manipulate her into becoming part of our skyjacking plot...

"But how will nobody notice she brought the kid on board with her"

Don't worry about that,we control everything and everybody,
    schedules,people's vision, time,pilots,stewardesses..

    "Wait a minute,this doesn't make any sense...

"No I haven't finished yet. You see, there is a bomb hidden in the casket and ...

"but why would having the person who designed the plane be needed for such a plan..wouldn't that give them a completely unnecessary strategic advantage?"

No. See it all makes sense because will will get the ransom at the end and escape from the thousands of first responders that have gathered at the airport etc.

This movie is so ridiculous I can't imagine how it got green lit. It seems like they kind of made it up as they went along, tried to do a Hitchcock type film but didn't have the brains to pull it off.

    Dirty Dancing - Classic
    Grease - Classic
    Footloose - Way Classic
Dinner For Schmucks - Totes Hilarious, good for Pure Entertainment
Napoleon Dynamite - Super Classic Top 15 Comedy Of All Time
Step Brothers - Napoleon time 100
    Joker - Sad, exploitive ....classic.

There are no bad films, viewers might just lack imagination and/or have too high expectations with no suspension of disbelief. :D

    Wait no, no...

Cadillac Records was really, really BAD.

I happily admit that millions love grease. And I’ll always support this.

But, the songs written for the movie except the Barry gibb title song were dire.

Travolta is one of my favourite actors by the way. So go figure.

I used to host bad movie nights in college where I would present 5 of the worst movies I could find, invite people to come in for free, but they had to pay $3 for every movie they didn't stay to watch. I made a lot of money on those nights.

There are a lot of low budget stinkers, but for major studio releases there are a couple that stand out.

    "Ishtar"
    "Ghengis Khan" (John Wayne)
"Dr. Otto and the Riddle of the Gloom Beam"

That third one was the first movie release for Ernest (yes the guy from the Blue Bunny commercials and all those bad movies to follow). It landed in the theaters and was pulled almost immediately...only lasted 2 nights in my town. I was one of very few who watched the movie and that was only because the battery was dead on my car and I was waiting for a ride. The studio even denied it existed for years, but now I have seen it listed as being released to dvd a few years ago....Gawd knows why? Ernest actually plays nearly every character in the film.

So, if you really want to see a terrible movie, see "Dr. Otto...."

    I question your taste.

Napoleon Dynamite is a funny movie, akin to "Harold And Maude". Please give it another chance.

Bubba HoTep (you spelled it incorrectly) is also an absurd movie.

If you watch "LaBamba" enough, you will soon find much humor in that as well.

"Troll 2" was the worst movie for a while.

Obviously "The Room" has since trumped it.

I recommend watching "Troll 2" because the witch is sexy and the popcorn scene is unprecedented.

Now that is a bad movie.

I'll throw a few of mine out there - Howard the Duck, Disaster Movie, The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, Grease 2

Well normally I like any movie James Garner is in - but,

I'm here because I just couldn't stand another minute tonight of The Thrill of It All, with Doris Day.

    Stupid, unbelievable, and very silly.

Who are we to judge what the People love? Who are we to question ON-J’s black pants. Not me...

I have fond memories of "Howard The Duck" as a youth. Do you recall Lea Thompson playing guitar behind a chain link fence in the beginning of the movie. How could this be one of your WORST movies? I can smell her Aquanet from here in the future.
