Nice rocking vibe on your track, but Mark´s right with the sound. Even the broght guitar sounds like a microphone not placed optimally-

A very varied track with ingredients of country, southern, rock - well done!

After re-listening to your track, I think so. I would also suggest to make the bt louder resp. lower your guitar tracks. Consider yourself as the guitarist of the group; you want to play with your bandmates, not to drown them out.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, need to continue tweaking and being more thorough before recording.

It's Pedalboard -> Palmer Pocket Amp -> Focusrite interface. Moved compressor after gain pedals now and trying to create some space with delay/reverb after that.

When I'm using Focusrite's direct monitoring, it muffles the guitar sound. So need to make more test tracks to determine recorded tones.

    Here's two different mixes:

The first one I removed my 4 rhythm tracks and made the bt louder. Surprisingly this doesn't change the character that much.
The second one has the rhythm tracks but the bt is still louder and my tracks are dialled back.

Both have reverb on the lead track dialled back.

I should mention that I'm also applying some master compression. I think SoundCloud is also doing some post-processing, possibly compressing this further.

There's also some country riffage happening in the bt that's not fully compatible with my maybe pop vibe, sometimes it works, sometimes less. Anyways, thought it would be interesting to play with the mix and see what happens ;)

EDIT: Imagine how quickly I'd get kicked out of this country band playing this lead ;)

@ghostchord : both tracks sound much better than the first version; for my taste, I would go with the first version. You added four rythm tracks; I usually have trouble with two guitars, sometimes it works, sometimes not. It is always tricky, regarding as well what you play and how to mix that, so that in the end both guitar tracks go well together and can be heard seperately by the listener.
