Sweet Strat tone, lighter than a Tele. Very passionate
Sweet and warm, crispy on the outside. Heartfelt
Very pretty but sort of sad,
I almost used tremolo, glad you did, it's all yours,
I kinda heard a tune in this progression, but it was only kinda close, half good,, but it's been a hot day and fans were off to record so I just squeezed the song into the progression. In cooler terms, fusion.
Clean mode, two delays, amp delay and a Flashback tape that's offset, I love how this clean tone has body to it, no anemia if you know what I mean, that may be my favorite feature in the amp, well, one of them.
I played for years in a 50s and 60s band and this track reminded me how much I love playing over those changes.
@ASATKat ... Super cool take with Mr. Lonely (I love that song). Great tone.
@Mellencaster : one take is enough if it´s good take. Nice sound, and the combination of arpeggios and single note playing is good.
@ASATKat : I think I heard that melody before, but have no idea what it is. I also like a clean tone with body. Well played, and I like the opening.
@klasaine : nice guitar sound; melodic down-on-earth-playing (with the exception of 2:09 ff) with a surfy vibe. Maybe a little more reverb for a surf sound?
Yeah, I should have pushed the reverb a little more. It's amp spring reverb and I'm always a little gun shy when printing effects.
Surf meets Mark Knopfler is what I was going for.
Vow! Nice melody! The tone is a good fit with what you play. Nice!!!
PS. The main melody reminded me of Fleetwood Mac's Albatross as well... Lovely!
Very nice! Loved it. Great use of tremolo bar. Did you do vol swells while playing with the tremolo? At 2:41? Anyways, very nice tone, and beautiful melodies!
No volume swells. I did put a compressor on it (post) which will even out the quieter parts giving the illusion of a slight volume swell.
Jazzmaster > Deluxe Rev > 2 notes load box > IR (twin rev) > interface/daw.
Sock hopping on the beach,
I would love to do a bt of Albatross, thank you.
Here is the original, hear how the progression is so different?
I'm a bit out of practice with these and learning new software to boot.
@HoodieMcFoodie : so nice that you dropped in! Like that mellow sound, and you have structured your playing well.
Thanks Ullrich. I hope to be dropping in a bit more frequently. My old Boss BR600 got to the point where it was unuseable so recording stuff was a real effort. I finally bit the bullet and got a USB interface this week so now all I have to do is learn how to use Cakewalk a bit more effectively and I should be good to go.
I play lots of melodic chord lines, but I wouldn't call them melodic rhythm lines unless I was comping. My experience with big bands put me in my rhythmic place, part of the rhythm section.
