Here's this week track. Enjoy!
Here's my take. I'm still experimenting with some of my less frequently used gear. I think the vibe pedal made it a bit darker than expected. Gear is Epiphone LP Jr, Behringer Vintage Tube Monster, DOD VibroThang, Hotone Binary IR Cab (Tweed Deluxe IR + 6L6 power amp model + Room).
After watching the Dropkick Murphys powerful performance at Fenway, I eased into this one. Strat into GarageBand amp direct. Post delay added.
Here is my contribution. Had to make it now, because I will have a trip to my family the next to days. But the first thing to do is to bring my beloved Mesa Express to the repair-man. Some days ago, the second channel suddenly fell dead quiet. So I couldn´t use the blues mode, which I frequently do.
@bgmacaw : nice! One thing I stumbled over: why not the last note of a phrase ring out more often?
@fendrguitplayr : lovely work with the double stops!!
@bgmacaw - Nice soulful take and I quite like the vibrato effect.
@fendrguitplayr - Nice double stops you've eased in it quite nicely. Sweet phrasing all through.
@udoering - A Stones vibe with a country touch, quite nice.Smooth phrasing and double stops.
Good soulful take and I don't hear the darkness of the vibe pedal at all. Nice!
Starts with a cool country rock vibe. Nice lines, tone and phrasing. Hope they get your amp fixed quick.
Oh, from 2:20+ you really hit some nice riffs!
First off, thanks for the track, nice bass lines in it!
You got some sweet tone and riffs going here from the start, Mike. Nice trills and bends. I like what you did at 2:13 especially nice!
A slow and easy track...fits the mood here, no kids home...everything is nice and quiet!
Tele middle position. I tried to stay out of the way of the guitar that was already on the track.
@bgmacaw - Organ-like tone, almost a Hammond B3, very appropriate for the track.
@fendrguitplayr - Nice double stops. The delay makes is sound like a double guitar part. Or is it? Only the player knows for sure.
@udoering - The clean channel on the Mesa Express sounds nice and twangy! Sweet and steely.
@Mellencaster - Nice warm tone. Relaxed sounding licks that really fit the track.
@NWinther - I know its nice with no kids in the house, but I really wish I could see my 8-month-old grandson. Dang virus lockdown! But about the track . . . It sounds like psychedelic R&B! Did you put some compression or something on the backing track too? It got really punchy.
@NWinther - Lovely fat tone and expressive bends. Nicely done.
@guitarsophist - By your title, it's far from corny. Sweet take, very good lines, and the middle selection is a nice choice.
@Mjark -Nice thick tone. The inro sounds sweet with the sixes and your melodic phrasing all through has some soul.
@Raimonds -Lovely tone and ringing notes.Sounds very good.
This sounds like the 50s. Lovers Lane
Nice Fendery vibe, nice dyads. Very Sweet. You're two cars across from BGMacaw at lovers lane.
Nice, pretty bends, and pretty mix of dyads and bends. Good job playing with the "band",
This is very good Udoering.
nice blues inflection, playing with your fingers sounded so "inflected" lol. Then comes the pick, such a sweet warm tone. and that holds up when you pop over to the bridge pup. Sweet.
