Mike (Mellencaster) messaged me that he would be off to visit family and asked if I could post a backing track. This is a Latin Rock backer. Have fun with it.

Thanks Fendrguitplayr, Santana was a great choice. Got the take in about 15 minutes.

    Smooth

@ASATKat - Sounds like you had fun with it too!

@Mjark - Nice run at 0.56" and your Tele tone sounds fine here and that outro!

Nice track! For this I used the FMT Tele with the blues mode of Mesa Express and a little St Vincent neck pu with the clean mode. Hope you have fun.

@fendrguitplayr : quite unusual sound from you! Very powerful playing; think you overcame the distraction. I love 2:05 ff!
@ASATKat : nice! Doesn´t sound like noodling, but a composed, structured song! Love the double stops past about 2:00.
@Mjark : you chose a surprising sound! I dig your opening notes; Tele sounds a little acoustic and quite relaxed!

@udoering - Nice playing with sprinkles of cool lines throughout. Yes, I've been known to kick it into overdrive now and then. ;) (mostly at gigs).

@NWinther - I almost used the same title. You got some nice Santana-like tone on this one and nice playing. Cool outro.

    - Nice fat tone and minor feel.

    - Love the echo on the break. Big tone too.

I tried with gain first, it didn't feel right even though we're playing someone that always uses massive amounts.

That's how felt with my surf tone, it just didn't sound surf not thanks to my excellent ASAT that isn't a surf guitar other than its seafoam green color.

The only humbucker guitar which I think would be better suited and immediately at hand has a broken E string. I was too lazy to get another one from on top of the bookcase or up from the basement.

Ok, I've been thinking about this for too long. You have an E string on top of the bookcase and you also have an E string up from the basement? So when you're up from the basement, does that mean you're one floor above the basement? Does "up from the basement" mean the E string will be found on the same floor as the bookcase, or is this a multi floor bookcase?

May I suggest keeping the strings closer to your music cave control chair???

    Hi Everyone ,

I added some extra parts to the BT to lend itself more as an instrumental .
Also, I did my guitar part this morning ...my guitar part was one take ( my second time out )
I have to say there is some rather suspicious slides going one with it in places ( i did no editing to it ) ...LOL

In any event I hope you enjoy the playing ,
    all the best,

    Kenny

Thanks, it sounds composed because it's the song Smooth. I just followed the melody with some loose blues ideas. Very little thought went into it. If I spent any time on anything it was getting the volume levels right for room recording, no direct recording. I was a tad loud, but acceptable to me.

I'm pretty happy with my Santana like tone attempt this time around. I didn't try too hard to nail it, I found this tone in like one minute.

    - six hrs later,,, Ok, I must clear my conscience, it might have taken me three minutes to dial it in..
