Newbie here...not sure if my dues paid...or if this track is up to muster. But thought it'd be a good one to possibly add some noodling over.
But...I thought I'd reach out... It heavily resembles a Beth Hart tune....not sure if that's allowed either?

Good question, I just shut my eyes and go for it. The safest choice is using a minor pent up and down until you find where it fits in. It's an ear thing. It's also BLUES based which means some do re mi major key and or scale will NOT work. It uses blues/rock pent scales and licks - by ear.

And yes I know the answer to your question, use G minor pent, It's all ear.
