On March 3 I had spinal fusion surgery. Lower back. 5 days in the hospital and 2.5 weeks of rehab. They sent me home. I’m by myself these days and my kids have been great to me taking turns staying with me. I fell twice in 2 weeks and am struggling to get my legs back. The surgeon wants me back at short term rehab. To get there I have to go through the ER. Since it’s Sunday I will be here until I can get a rehab bed. Hopefully tomorrow. I’m hoping to build my strength at rehab so I can be independent. Long day today.

I'm sure everyone here wishes you the best recovery ever. I can only imagine how terrible it must be to fall and not have complete control. Thanks to your kids for hanging with you and unfortunately you had to go the ER. They don't want to keep you long I guarantee. That Rehab bed will probably open soon enough. Best wishes for a speedy way out of there standing tall. We will keep you in our thoughts. :)

I hit like on your post, but what I meant was, I hope you get going on your recovery soon. I have a neighbor who fell and broke his leg, and just as he was getting better, something happened and he broke it again. They went back and put heavy duty stuff in his leg, and now he's starting to recover again. When I'm saying, sometimes it takes more than one go at a thing to get it done. Well wished for your recovery.

I've heard playing a Telecaster can be great therapy - even unplugged.

    Get well soon Bob. :)

Good luck. Hopefully the rehab works. The rehab hospital my dad went to 20 years ago had a bunch of young, athletic Filipino women running around twisting people up like pretzels. I was trying to figure out a way to check myself in.
