    Remember my first build?

Or the first one i made a body for?

Well... i think i'll keep going with this :) it's addictive and i can't stop now...

So i guess i'll keep on with this one:

And after photoshop and a little bit of 3d it looks like this

It's gonna have Mahogany body with a metallic blue finish (hopefully "Lake Placid Blue") a sunk tune O-Matic bridge, I think i'll better make the strings go through the body instead, chunky tele style neck with MusicMan's style head, PAF for the neck, Hot single coil for the middle, TV Jones for the bridge.

I'm thinking about not using the pickguard and just use chrome frames for the pickups, like the one i ued for the neck pickup on the golden one i made.

The neck should be maple and the fretboard rosewood i guess...

I'll try to show the wood tomorrow :)

    Have a nice day!

Looks great. Keep the pickguard, IMHO.

... or maybe a partial pickguard, like a La Cabronita, maybe....
but good stuff, I am looking forward to your build thread on this one! :)

Doncha your work is so beautiful. Is that a carved top on the tele? Its not over done I like it. I agree with Justin keep the pick guard on the AztecST I really like the whole design. Its so retro yet refined. PAF is defiantly a good choice I have a 1970's PAF in my Westbury it really sings with the Super Distortion.

Dude, that looks awesome. Loving the Music Man style headstock. Really suits the design of the guitar. Strings thru-body for sure. I would totally buy this thing if I saw it hanging in a shop (and I had the moola). Can't wait to see a finished product.

Oh and the pickguard is super cool :) Although if you could show a variant without it just to give us an idea of how it would look.

You have a great eye for design! And that pickguard really suits it. I really like the lines the chamfers make against the shape of the body. I'd buy one!

I don't care for the modified Strat but really like the Azteca. Good job on that design!

Love the new design. I agree with the others -- keep the pickguard.

But if you go without the guard, I reckon it would look better with just bridge and neck pickups.

I like your design a lot. What scale length do you think you'll use?

I realy like it. I was going with similar design with my Becky (neck head and color, hardware), only I screw up :p and go with strat bridge and straight contour. So don't you dare to change it any further. It is beautiful as it is. (don't destroy my dream guitar :p)

Wow what a beautiful design! I'd love to see your take on a jazz bass, especially with that top edge contour. Can't wait to see this thing complete!

Very nice. I don't care for the tele control plate though. Everything else on the guitar has a different aesthetic feel to it. I'm thinking rocker switches

I like the refinements to your modified strat design.

It's getting a little into Burns Bison/Funky old Japanese 60's pawnshop guitar territory with the asymmetrical combination squared off, curvy shape and the beveled all around the body contour, and so much metal and plastic on it, but the 3/2 headstock makes it a little more modern.

You could take that body shape all the way to garage band glory with 4 pickups, a crazy vibrato bridge, some MOTO, and a huge headstock if you wanted to.

As it is your design combines familiar guitar design elements into something very unique, and I really like it, and look forward to seeing it finished.

    Thanks for sharing.

Thanks a lot for the comments guys :D

I've been really busy with office stuff, but i can hopefully show some of the wood i'm using for the build tomorrow :D

I'm also thinking about speeding up some of the process by buying a Warmoth neck, but this thing isn't really about speed i guess ;)

Again, thanks a lot for the comments guys :D i really appreciate :)

I love the understated fret markers (small and plain), but I agree with whoever said that the tele control plate doesn't quite go with everything else on the guitar.
