I'm not saying its great but here it is:
I don't think that's Axl. And if it is, what the hell happened?
But yeah, no. The song, singing and production are all so pisspoor, I'm not buying that it's him
I mean, you can't be that rich and sound that bad, can you?
It does kinda sound like him. But I share your doubts that he'd put out a track that sounded so wimpy.
And lyrically - sheesh. 'Rock the Rock?' How cliche can you get? That would have been lame even back in the 80s.
EDIT: And I've looked at his Twitter feed from time to time and he seems to be pretty political these days. Given his penchant for trying to tick people off, I figure he'd write something that he thinks would strike a nerve in that area.
Nothing wrong with. It's obviously for a different purpose than a GnR album.
GnR Central confirms that it is Axl, appearing in a Looney Tunes cartoon.
At least he didn't release it as a GnR tune.
I say there's plenty wrong with.
Rock and Roll for the Scooby-Doo generation.
Whoever it is, it's about as lame and vanilla as it could be.
I hope Chris Guest and Michael McKean have seen their vision come to fruition.
According to the article, GnR have been using the Looney Tunes theme as an intro on tour, so there's probably some kind of reciprocal arrangement there where they get to use the theme in return for Axl appearing in a cartoon. Weird.
Weird and lame.
Yeah, that too. The song sounds like a filler track from a Quiet Riot album.
Axl's an odd dude.
Okay here's the background:
"Rock the Rock" comes as part of the Looney Tunes reboot on the streaming service Boomerang, and the newly released music video features an animated Rose declaring, "Gentlemen, it's time to rock the rock" before performing with Bugs Bunny and company as his backing band
The song, written by Rob Janas and Joshua Funk, is featured in the New Looney Tunes episode "Armageddon Out of Here, Part 2," where the 'toons team up with Rose to rock out loud enough to destroy an incoming asteroid.
Then you would be wrong.
See the comment above this one. If you still have an issue, then I'm sorry.
It still sucks, but I don't hold you accountable
well he was already a cartoon character.
Cliche...yep. But did you forget that he's been playing with AC/DC lately? Their vibe is similar to this song. Their lyrics just as cliche. "For those of you about to rock, we salute you"
Totally forgot about that. Good point.
That's just cringe inducing
