There’s plenty of discussion about the colors we love. Fiesta Red, Shell Pink, Sonic Blue. There are loads of great options. But is there a color that makes your skin crawl when you see it on an otherwise beautiful guitar?

For me it’s forest green. I love the color on clothing or old cars, but I’m not feeling it on telecasters. Maybe I just haven’t seen the right shade with the right neck/pickguard/hardware combo.

Is there a color you have no love for?

Charvel's "slime green" is not my favorite color, but I'm down for most anything once.

I have poor colour vision.
But most shades of pink and violet give me the creeps.
I'm not sure if the conditions are related.

I love most shades of green - on cars, guitars and in the right situations cloths.

I can’t think of any particular color that would cause me to reject a guitar I otherwise liked. My own guitar is plain black/black/rosewood, and it’s boring looking but fine; its color is the farthest thing from my mind when I am playing it.

I’m not a natural wood finish enthusiast, but if I picked one up that felt and sounded great to me, I think I would get over that pretty quickly.

Any blue darker than sonic.

And - it really depends on the guitar.

I looooooove the 60’s translucent cherry red that was a standard color you’d see on ES-335’s.

But only on those guitars and LP’s (crazy cool look on a Les Paul)

I saw it on some Collings and it wasn’t cool.

A little too green, imho.
