A local friend in the Raleigh area decided to come out of retirement and start making guitar straps. His previous business was "The Belt Man" making the best gun belts you can find. He makes every strap by hand in his shop in Apex, NC.

He just created his Facebook page last night so it's a little sparse at the moment:

Definitely check out the one of a kind straps - he's even got some real crocodile and alligator straps that are incredible. He made my son a really cool leather strap with a denim face from a pair of jeans. And he made me this killer strap for my Grape Thorn G/T:

Wait. The Beltman isn't making belts anymore? D'oh! Well, if his straps are anything like his belts, then we have finally found a strap for that granite guitar.

Decent prices. They look good too. Maybe he needs to be a vendor here if he isn't already.

I don't know if he'll have an issue using that name or not. When I read the title, I immediately thought of the below vendor:

And personally, I think "BeltMan Straps" actually sounds really good.

He's not really a forum surfer but I will mention that to him.

Thanks. The goal of the guitar was to be a more ergonomic version of my old Gretsch Setzer. Ron Thorn's guitars are the best I've ever played. I've got another Tele style and an unbelievable V. I haven't been here in a while - I think I owe a few NGD posts
