Yes my friend, it's finally happened!
You know this is not exactly what I was looking for but how could I resist? As I said in a previous post this is one of my all time favourite guitars, my small guitar family is going where I want it to go. Once more, thanks for your help and advice :)

Enjoy my friend, you will love it. Jazzmasters are very easy to get along with, and get a lot of love. Jaguar's not so much, they are very Marmite, luckily for me I love them too. I hope it's a keeper for you buddy, and you have many happy years together.

    Beautiful @mimmo

I love my blue AO60s. I’m finding it subtle and nuanced for my recordings where I want a silvery single coil tone and the slight shimmer with the trem arm is a delight on open chords. I should have bought one ages ago but I always chickened out.

    Thanks my friend!
Your NGD was one of those that pushed me towards the Jazzmaster and I clearly recall the bad GAS I had when I saw your beauty. I was really tempted to get one of those AO's and that's how I found this AV: browsing all the online shops. I am a big fan of this series and couldn't let it pass, but I am pretty sure that I would be more than happy with its modern iteration.

Can't wait to try it out, the trem system seems to be very appreciated

What a beauty, wow! Is it one of the lacquer MIM Jazzmaster's? Always been intrigued by these, still don't know why I didn't pull the trigger on one of these (other than the AV)!
    This colour is amazing, mate!

Congratulations! That is a beauty. Such a great sound from these, pickups are fantastic, and the neck is a dream. I was lucky to find a new one in 2018. Enjoy, make some great music!

I love my JMs. The one quibble I have is with the stock bridge on the vintage and earlier CS models (excluding the RSD-J bridge). I would recommend finding a Staytrem or an American Professional bridge. The mastery doesn’t rock and somewhat changes the tone.

I am aware of the potential issue given by the bridge. The shop told me that their tech would have taken care of it so I keep my fingers crossed: if I am not happy with his set up I will have to wait for my tech to reopen and eventually swap the bridge out.

Spectacular! I can't believe that beauty sat on the wall for five years. Great buy.

I bought a used JM in about 1970, kept it a few years. When I took it apart, I found out the previous owner had put a strat pickup under the bridge pickup cover. Perfect fit. So I actually have no experience with the original bridge pickup.

It was probably the most comfortable guitar on a strap I ever owned.

No this is an AVRI '62 from the early 2000's. Surf Green wasn't available too long with these.

I've always been curious about thr AV 65s, would love to play one someday.

I just got an AV65 Jazzmaster myself a few weeks ago. Congrats, they're fantastic instruments.
