I got over it by ordering an Artist Tweedtone 20R, $649 delivered.
You won't regret it, they are a great amp. Once the speaker is run in the you'll find that the tonal variation you can get out of it is incredible.
how long does it take to run the speaker in? Am I supposed to take it easy volume wise until it is run in?
Only problem I have had with my Tweedtone which is one of the first ones Artist made is the LED power light died. No power light does not mean no power though so I kept using it for a few weeks until I put a conventional bulb in instead of the LED.
Thanks, it is threatened to arrive on 17th.of the month, Getting loud is no problem. I believe they have superseded it with a newer version.A couple of hours playing at reasonable volumes seems to take the stiffness out of the cone. For a 20W it is pretty loud, even though it only goes up to ten.
Finally got the amp. Surprised at how “big” a sound it puts out, as my neighbours are no doubt aware of now. Handles my pedal board very well.
