weird weather.... first day of summer and it's 17C outside and raining....

the rain isn't so unusual for this time of year... 17C is a winter temp.....can't recall it ever being cold in December, up here? even when it rains...;)

New Boss CS-3 compressor arrived, sounds like the old one, gotta be happy with that, got the quote on the amp, $360, cripes and he hasn’t got the second amp yet, but the good news is the reverb tank was fine but the transformer for the reverb had died, that is the second time, last time was over 24 years ago.

It feels like a fine winter's day today..the week before Xmas..

mid 20's with a cool breeze and no humidity.... mid morning, I went for a 15 min walk up the road and back and never raised a sweat....

we're usually melting this time of year....

Thought we were going to get a frost a couple of days ago, would have been close. Daytime temps haven't crept above 23, nightime not above 7. Happy Christmas to all.

I have an old solid state amp I got 40 years ago, it has been backup for many years but with age my valve amps get heavier everyday but it doesn’t have reverb, I just got a reverb pedal and it has transformed the amp, we have a couple of gigs in January so it will be getting an outing, never thought I would use it over the valve amps but there you go.

I've still got the H||H IC-100S that I got new in the mid 70s, stupidly loud and surgically clean until your ears bleed.

It was good enough for Marc Bolan so good enough for me, it's also a brilliant bass amp.

I don't have any desire to gig again so will move it along soon

Hmmm. . . .

What would something like that go for these days?

On the rare occasions they pop up most are around the 1K mark.

I only have the head, I ran it through a long gone Holden, Marshall style quad box

Thanks, @suthol. A pity it's only the head, although I'm sure it'll get snapped up by someone with a suitable cabinet.
