cabin fever is setting in....no, not that kind of fever...

I was driven to make a poem, I'll hang it here to dry,..sorry,,, :)

"Lagoomy Blues"

I'm Runnin' out of reggies, it's getting touch and go,

It's been rainin' cats and dogs for weeks

the brief supply is getting low,

I loaded up the Simpson, a rescue from a local shed,

with necessary smalls to keep a man supported

through this rainy weather, that's doin' in my head.

so far so good, they're hanging up to dry

under cool veranda roof, at least they have a chance,

as I glance up with hope of sunshine at the dark *lagoomy sky.

*( lagoomy is a word an old 80's GF made up one day when she meant to say gloomy... immediately before we both burst out laughing, it kinda got stuck in her mouth as it came out..... so we continued to use it. )

a pre-cromulent uttering... ;)

May June is supposed to be perfect blue skies in our part of the world. Hence the booking at Pt Lookout.

My next holiday to Bribie is booked for late October. It better be fine.
The last time at Bribie was the first week in March just post flood. The sea was a lovely chocolate colour not conducive to swimming or fishing.

Cheers
Gerry

The plan to catch bream today around the rocks at low tide on Deadman’s beach was moderately successful.
The 40 kph nor wester was bloody awful even with the blue skies.

Been watching the Giro de Italia replays on sbs...

watching a young aussie win the thing....Jai Hindley...

he blitzed the leader yesterday on a climb finish and had 1:20 lead for the final day, a time trial... his time was enough to beat Carapaz, a previous winner of the tour of Italy...

Onya, mate..oi oi oi...:)

it will be warmer to go for swim on a winter's morning than go for a walk on the beach....

Just on my way home from watching Australias 2nd best punk band to The Saints. Frenzal Rhomb.

First time I saw them was in 1997 when they did the Meet the Family tour when they released that album. I was just 16.

Jay is still just as loud, Doctor is just as obnoxious. Good times. Was well worth it. With Lex gone, the newer guy Dell wasn't too bad, could play all the older faster songs which was good.

Hah, all that needs is cool chorus with a good hook in the middle there somewhere. I recon you've got two solid verses there. So lets get couple more verses and add some old school Aussi bush music. EEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAA.
