I thought today would be a good day to close the house up and cook a big stew...

started in the morning cooking some chick peas and lentils on a slow simmer, then slow cooking some onions and celery in a fry pan with some spices,, removed that then cooked some bacon pieces to crisp them up... removed them... fried up a chicken breast chopped into cubes...

then added them all to a big pot with a can of chicken soup and water to make up a thick soup/stew...got that to a simmer....

turned it off for a few hours to sit.... now I'm reheating it again....

all that cooking in the house only raised the temp inside to 14C .....

    smells good in here, though..:)

Thanks lads, good show... I enjoyed that.. :)

a few years of touring recently has aged Haugy a bit,, he's got some nice guitars though... both of them had a good selection of guitars and had a lot of fun... it must have been a blast for them all ..:)

Today I'm heading into sunny Qld for a dental appointment. Years ago when there were border gates checking every vehicle for fruit and veg we joked about having our passports ready. I downloaded my passport, aka entry permit, the other day. :)

well, broncos got flogged at the footy in the first game back on tv.... again...:(

empty stands/no comments from the crowd was different.. surely they could have let a few punters in to scatter through the stands... with loud hailers....

    get 'em onside, Ref....

    pass the bloody ball...

that wasn't a knock on, you clown...

    Awwww,, forward pass ...

    KICK IT!.....

that would be funny, seeing/hearing lone figures in the stands let fly loud enough for everyone to hear....

maybe a phone app to send expletives live into the sound mix would liven up the atmosphere. That would be fun..
