I flattened the end of a rusty old 4" nail and tapped it along a google map I sized to suit, then used a few textas to colour the wood in the channel, filled it with CA glue, added a few holo sparkles and leveled it, then clear coated over the top...

the river system had the right shape to go between the pickups and out the horn....

never done it before, it was a spur of the moment idea.... seemed to work...;)

I have done siilar things by filling the gouged out lines with coloured Araldite. Coloured inks or artist's oil paint work well colouring the araldite. Only a VERY small amout of colour is needed to get a strong tint. Up here at the moment, if you wanted accuracy of colour, you would have to leave the gouge unfilled and just stain the bottom a dry dirt colour.:(

That looks great. Is that the body you cut from the plank you had stored a couple months back?

My sense of time is always out of whack. It turned out great anyway.
Nice touch with that sparkly blue river treatment. The ambered look also looks cool with the blue.

Watched a small storm cell coming on radar last night, thought we might get a bit of a shower to settle the dust...or it might go around and miss us..

dumped about 100mm in a few hours @midnight... bit of a surprise really.... good for the tanks and gardens....:)

Well, it's that time of the year again when certain sections of this country play havoc with time.

You wait and see, the cows will go off the milk and the curtains will fade, you mark my words and don't you worry about that.

And the people down south just snigger.

Your post got me thinking Boblets; Kingaroy is a tautology, albeit a duo- language one.:)
