My late cousin Max.... who I absolutely loved and looked up to as a kid, he always let me sit and play on his kit if he was home... .....and hung out with him for a beer often as an adult...

He played in a big local dance band during the 60's playing Accordion and then formed a band with a guitar playing friend playing Drums calling themselves the Gemini 4...

He was a fixture at the local Bowlo in later life and often got up and sat in on the drums with the house bands....

When he came down to the city for a gig he would stay at our place, it was like having a rock star in the house to us kids...... his drum kit would completely fill his small Mazda Wagon, one of the first japanese cars I saw.... it was tiny compared to the FJ and EJ we had....

    August.. King Orchid time..:)

I moved this one from our old house in brisso when we sold it years ago.... it was a big ball in a macadamia tree about a metre across.. I divided it up and put it in a few places...

Seems to like the Loquat tree,,,, :)

If you can't bowl a bloke out, knock him out... bodyline all over again....

I'll bet there's a few old aussie bowlers wishing they were young men again and over in England...

let's hope a few of the under performers rise to the occasion next test.....

Isn't Great Northern owned by John Singleton, would explain everything.

Oh yeah, the beer is rubbish so maybe a change of image is required

I saw the Clouds a few times back in the 90's and enjoyed their music. I'd kinda forgotten about them for ages, as one does... been listening to a few tracks lately...

first time I've heard this version of the classic tune...

Nice tele and nice style, standing in front of a stack as tall as her... sweet.....:)

Indeed, I was busily involved in online banter with some dudes on an English car forum.

This has been one very weird test, with the amount of time left and the pitch improving we need a massive lead rather than what we have at the moment

As a Pom, I can't believe we got away with that one.

Great series so far but really England have been disappointing. Both teams seem to compromise of a couple of star players and not much else.

The wonky thinking with Starc is Australia want control bowlers.

And the best bit of reporting from Fairfax's Greg Baum - "The World Cup, the Ashes, vilification in a pub: is there nothing Stokes can’t fix with a lusty swing or two?" Brilliant.

I sat up and watched it until the end, went to bed dazed and nothing has changed today.

They should not have reviewed the Cummins delivery, but hey ho it may have been the last chance because they needed 5 runs at the time and the way Stokes was hitting the ball it was only one hefty blow away.

Brilliant game of cricket, tense to the end and in the end we didn't have enough of a lead with the amount of time that was left in the game ( not that it was needed )

Now on to the 4th test
