Melbourne Guitar Show starts tomorrow at Caulfield Racecourse, over two days. Always a good excuse for a bit of aimless walking around looking at stuff I can't afford.

They have done a good job so far. Les isn’t quite tough enough, but I can’t fault him really. Eddie salivas and price galese were great. Doreen Bognor, a new character was great.

I liked the story so far. And the footage of the cross is how I pretty much remembered it. I don’t remember so many fights. But I’m a peaceful man. And I didnt spend a lot of time in the cross. I’m not even sure I gigged in the cross, though I did quite a few in Oxford street. But they caught Sydney in the 80s. Like Les, I moved to Sydney in the 1980s, so I felt a familiarity.

    Anyone see it?

Soundtrack ok. Les liked chisel, the oils, I suspect red gum, Accra Dacca, etc. but licence fees and rights.

Finally, I worked in corrective services when I moved to dunes, and consequently met a lot of standover men, fighters, debt collectors, etc. the stories captured exactly how these guys spoke. The show does a good job at it too.

Good to see the aussie cricketers put sandpapergate behind them and get some runs on the board... it can't have been easy listening to the first few days of jibes from a good natured crowd...

glad I stayed up last night to watch the action... Oi Oi Oi..;)

lets hope they finish the job today..:)

Back when I was reading the barratt novels.. my choice for the character of Les would have been fatty vautin the red haired nrl player.... he would have killed it as les back then....

bringing in the female characters was a twist... for wazza and george... I was hoping for a big old thug on the door with Les instead of the small cheeky bloke.... that'd be more 80's...

    I liked the replacements.

I remember billy being cheeky, but I thought in the books he was about Les’s size. Having said that I thought the actor was terrific.

Never realised he was the celibate rifles guy. Not being a big sports watcher I can’t comment on his commentary but the celibate rifles were terrific.
