Crikey! Kangaroos jumping down the road.... how cliche..:lol:

a couple of big bucks cruising, eating some nice fresh grass on the roadside until something spooked them and they took off.... I watched them from the veranda for a while, I wasn't going down there for a closer look... they were about as big as me with thicker arms, probably as big as you'll see around here.... yikkes...:D

    Hey! Skippy, eat my lawn....

We had pretty steady rain here from about 1:45 this morning until about 10:30. We got about 50mm all up (2" in the old money). I would be very good if we had a lot more like that - good steady rain.

Glad to hear you got some rain, Hoodie. My brother lives off the grid up the other side of Toowoomba and they are always watching the clouds to see if there is any rain in them.

20 mm rain, sat and watched the radar showing the heavy stuff heading for us then veering off, most disappointing. Did make the grass grow though, good thing I fixed the punctures on the mower, looks like I'll be using it tomorrow.

Now that the NRL season has started I have been thinking about this year’s State of Origin series.

I can’t see Queensland having a ghost of a chance. I may have to start barracking for the Cockroaches.

better change the page on my wall calendar then.... another year racing by...;)

looks like trev has done his bit to water most of Qld, quite an unusual cyclone to do the grand south western tour like this one....

started up the cape, slid down the NT border and finished as it crossed the coast near here....

I hope it did some good outback there...:)

yeah, the NRL... so many new names and faces in the teams atm , I don't know who's from where anymore...o_O

I just like the spectacle of the origin games... state vs state, mate vs mate kinda thing... it always throws up performance surprises from some of the new faces.

my ch9 (5) has been dodgy for years around here, the card on my pc never picked it up... until my latest re tune... now ch5/50/51/gem etc is good and strong.. omg .. they must have upped their transmission strength or something?...just in time for the NRL season.. sweet...:)

I was woken up a few times last night by some heavy showers... sounded loud.. no thunder, just scuds of rain coming through at intervals.....

the valley got a mention on the local news.. 56 mm last night, topped the district.... o_O

thought the grass looked a bit damp this morning...:D

I feel sorry for the Easter campers/beachgoers on the coast here.... intermittent heavy showers all day with howling onshores...the place is saturated.. yesterday was much the same..

kinda sunny and warm in between showers though, one consolation...

after such a dry summer, I thought we'd get some late season rain through Easter....;)
