Welcome home, Ozcal!
Hope you have a good one. And would be interested to hear your thoughts about what's changed and what's stayed the same.
sigh.. not much fun at the MCG today for the aussies.....will they last the day?...
maybe they should cremate the bails from this game and send the ashes over to be sprinkled on the Ganges..... that might restore our cricket karma...
I haven't seen any Christmas beeltes around for a while.... you guys seen any?....
I even did a google search and found many recent articles expressing the same concern.... where have all the xmas beetles gone?...
We got a couple this year, but haven’t seen the bright coloured ones for ages.
Few little ones but not having to close the outside doors quickly to keep the hrdes of them out at night as in previous years. Not many cicadas around either, jut a few and not very noisy.
I had a big cicada flapping against the screen door last night... I thought it might be a xmas beetle..... which made me wonder where all the usual bugs are....
hardly had a mossie in the house either.... I usually sleep under a mossie net in summer, but I haven't deployed it yet....
all this talk about losing a few of our best batsman over sandpapergate..
looks like the bowlers are just providing the Indians with batting practice.... they've got nothing to hide behind...
the top order we have now will be at a hiding to nothing when they come out to bat.....
Sadly they bowled tripe, there seemed to be little rhyme or reason to their plans.
Toss it up fullish outside off :- OK I'll drop it short outside off.
He's a poor stater to the full swinging ball but likes to hook:- OK I'll try and knock his head off.
Quick is not enough, it has to do something and there has to be a reason.
A young quick in my team was getting driven hard and his bouncers were too short, my advice was to bowl a cutter at his tit, the ball chased him when he tried to pull it, hit the shoulder of the bat and went straight up C&B.
The guy will get roughed up proper in the last round of the season and won't make double figures next time
