According to the bom we got an inch or two of rain last night... I slept through most of it, it couldn't have been too heavy/stormy?.....

I went down to the gully just now to check if any crap got washed down the hill and blocked the pipes again..

it looked as if hardly any water of volume flowed down the hill at all...it all looked just the same as I left it.. maybe the ground sucked it all up before any got in the gully, not a trickle in sight... the yard looks pretty wet though...mmmm?

    sure is green outside..:)

Best you advise Uzi & Marsh to stop bending their knees when they play a cut unless they are aiming to go over the top, which neither were at time of dismissal.

Something that gets pounded into kids in their early days but seems to be becoming prevalent again at higher levels with the overload of T20 games

The forecast yesterday was for 60mm of rain and we got a few drops last night. Today 90% rain chance, woke to a perfect blue sky. Maybe the super computer broke down at the met office and they're using a chook wheel instead.

I’ll Leave the batting coaching to Langer, Ponting and Hick I think , certainly not my area but doesn’t seem to be something Hussey promotes ?

Thursday night 25 mm, last night 24 mm, the lot Thursday night took about three hours to fall but last nights came down in three quarters of an hour. Had a nice little stream running past the back door. Looking out the window I can see the grass growing as I watch it. BOM has us for a 90% chance of showers today and Sunday with possible heavy storms both days. Clouds building up now so BOM could be right and we'll get a bit more.

If a game finishes before lunch do they close the ground kitchen and the lads have to go over the road to the take away joint for lunch?..... or do they just ring for some pizza?... ;)

Nothing sweeter than that southerly storm change after a northerly 35C day.... late coming tonight, it's been a long wait.. phew...:)

spent the morning out on the river in the tinny trying to catch a few fish before the heat set in. Fishing with baits and different lures through the top of the tide...... caught a catfish, my mate caught a catfish.. evens.:D

... frikken sad.:(.. I swear the river is mostly dead... there weren't any small fish taking your bait every 5 mins, though I did see a few good sized mullet jumping out in the channel.
Even the local guru fisherman was out there. We saw his truck/trailer at the ramp. He came back from his fav spots with nothing either, just said he caught a few small sharks and catfish he threw back as well...

one consolation... we weren't the only ones missing out...

    come on you southerly, Blow!..
