    just looked at the radar... yikkes!.. a big red blob heading my way about 10k's away.....

    I knew something was coming, so I've been out securing stuff in the yard and cleaning my gutters, etc.....

    dry as, up here, the ground is rock hard.... this rain will bounce off...;)

    I use the gympie radar it's closer than the brisbane one...

    There are LOTS of manufacturers in Oz.
    From what I own: a Maton acoustic, Tomkins electric, and an EB valve amp.
    These all are as good as any top brand, and not mass produced.

    whew.. 35C inside the house atm.. with about 30 knots of hot NW wind blowing.....

    just sucks the water out of you.....

    I got a 2L bottle of water and a glass on the table that's going down fast.... flat out like a lizard drinking...:rolleyes:

    that big fire up at Baffle creek/ Deepwater will be out of control in this wind/heat.....:(

    there's an eerie orange glow about as the sun departs, the air is full of dust blown in from out west, they say..

    ..the air looks thick and hazy... the cooler evening breeze replaces the hot day air... whew, about time...:D

    Any damage in Sydney? Where I am (belmore/lakemba) we got steady but unremarkable. Thankfully wasn’t in the city today.

    and it's raining on the rock.. Mt Coolum that is....;)

    nice to hear rolling thunder and some rain on the roof after last weeks heatwave....smells sweet..:)

    hopefully they get some northeast of Bundy where the fires are...

    My brother in law and his son are water bombing in Mackay. My sister is beside herself with worry but they’re doing a great job. Though no one knows how long they’ll be. (They live In Rockhampton)
