woo hoo.. xmas pressies from the band... makes it all worthwhile..:D

my guitar kid hand painted the card... he even got the pickup detail correct... forgot the knobs though,,;)

He played the guitar I made for him at the local school of rock show on Sunday.. it sounded great through a Vox and the silver sparkle looked spectacular under the stage lighting....

He can play guitar but can’t spell. As an ex teacher I am appalled, as a guitarist I can see he has got his priorities right.

The BOM is forecasting a La Niña. They must have had turtles on their lawns.

""MOST Coast dams are spilling today after heavy rain took them past capacity.

Ewen Maddock Dam at Landsborough, Lake Macdonald at Cooroy, Poona Dam at Kureelpa and Wappa Dam at Kiamba were all more than 100 per cent capacity and spilling on Monday morning.

Borumba Dam at Imbil was also spilling.

Baroon Pocket Dam at Maleny was at 78.3% but that was a marked improvement from early October when it fell to 45.3%. ""........ from the web paper this morning

Wappa dam a few miles inland from here....

I got a bargain today, the above Candy Apple Red strat for $49. It had a $299 price tag but the bloke said that the company were blowing out a few odd items of stock.

I have enough guitars but this was too good to pass. I did a fret level and filed the nut slots a bit, and it is good to go. Sounds OK for me with the pickups, not that far away from my Mexican strat.

Hi guys, I googled a few guitar techs and luthiers around melbourne. Id want to know if you guys would recommend someone you have dealt with and had good experience in professionally setting up your teles?

I do my own setups, having no access (either they're too far away, or something) to good luthiers in the Philippines, Id want to experience a good professional set up on my tele. Anyone you can recommed in Melbourne area? preferrably a few trams away as I dont have a car yet.

Hi, if no one from Melbourne pipes up you could ask the Vintage Maton Appreciation Society fb page. I'm across the
water in Tassie. There are good luthiers here, must be some over your way.

Or get in touch with this guy to put
you in touch with the tech he uses.. You might need to jump to pt2 or pt3 in the series of vids following on from this one to see the kind of top level work he seems to do

I've just put a couple of our originals up on Soundcloud.

Road To Forbes ( the Ben Hall story )

This grew out of a chord progression I sent to Max & Bob back in March, lyrics written by Max in September

Lost Love ( The Pain Goes On )

A Max Richards melody that was originally released as a pedal steel instrumental by his band Men Of Country back in about 1974, lyrics written in September

Max Richards - vocals & acoustic
    Bob Browne - backing vocal
    Wes Grady - pedal steel
Dave King - electric guitars, bass and MIDI stuff
