I like having a cat or two around the house.
there was a cat that lived at the zendo that would come upstairs to the attic when we were meditating., quietly walk around never disturbing anyone.

Cats are cool creatures. Our last two are gone and are truly missed. Until the feral problem gets resolved in my neighborhood we won’t get anymore cats.

neighbor has been feeding feral son her patio and they are rampant. On the roof, using our property as a toilet, screeching at all hours of the day & night, plus to top it off no spay/neutering or medical at all

Ghirl and I are hunkered down for the duration of this thing.
Ghirl just turned 20 years young last September.
She lost Her sister “Sistah” days after She turned 20.
Their brother MJ Bedahlyos died three years ago.
So it’s me & Ghirl - who just had Salmon with ice cold water
for breakfast - one of Her favorites, followed by nappy under the plants in the window.

I like cats, if they belong to someone else. I really do like them, but I don’t want one in my home, especially due to the hair.

They're funny critters, that arrogant insolent attitude, until they get excited about something and then they go bat-crap crazy.

I live vicariously through "Yellowcat", a neighbor's cat that clears my perimeter of small rodents every week or so. There is also a pretty little cat (probably feral) that I catch in my live trap every now and then...I only see it in the trap.

This is Xena d'Katt. She is 16 and dying. We have had her since she was a kitten. We will surely miss her. 20200131_061900.jpg

I currently have a cat (Olivia), and had another from 1996 through 2011 (RIP Zuzu). Both were/are black and three-legged... guess I have a "type". ;)

Speaking of meditation: once while I was meditating (seated in a chair, not zazen at the time) back in 2007, Zuzu leaped from the couch to land on my right shoulder, clawing for stability.

Close as I have ever come to a heart attack. Damn cats...
