Anyone know a good hi-fi electrolytic capacitor that looks like the old Astron Minimites used in old fender tweed amps, or perhaps replica cardboard tubes to stuff Sprague Atom's into? I've heard that Atom's sound great, but the blue jacket they have looks a bit garish to me, and while I'm not looking for a perfect replica, I'd love to find a cap that at least hearkens back to the aluminum electrolytic capacitors of old.

There's all kinds of repros out there that look pretty good. And then there's the old trick of slicing the Astron covers off and fitting them over the new cap.

With all due respect, who's gonna know about the caps appearance besides you??? As long as they do the job specified, they are in the chassis unseen.
