Florida man drives a white van. He would have been in the back, making bacon and eggs on a camp stove.

This is the main reason IMO that the Canadian Dollar is worth so little:

    Because 140 isn't even 140.

Back in the mid 1970's, I found myself 'asleep at the handlebars' on two occasions. Luckily for me, the drift onto the highway's shoulder woke me up in time.

I didn't need no steeenking Tesla.

In my case, I was on the back having a cup of 'Joe', and a Wall Drug donut...

I predict a new highway game for "kids"......they're driving along, and spot the "auto-drive" eighteen wheeler truck. Swerve in front of it, and back and forth, activating the collision avoidance system, and watching it brake, speed up when clear, repeat. I'm not advocating this, mind you......just sayin'. ;)

After reading that, one question that pops up immediately: Why did the car accelerate when the police car gave chase?

Florida man would have found asleep loosely holding his Budweiser can. The Tesla would have stolen.

I personally couldn’t relax enough to sleep in a self driving car.

I had a scary asleep at the wheel experience, and it was me!

I live in Northern VA, and about 20 years ago now, I was driving home from a late night bar gig in Baltimore. It was maybe 3:30 AM, and though I'm only ( by now) 2 miles from my house, on suburban roads, I CANNOT keep my eyes open these last few miles.

    - I nod off for a few seconds and it was the flashing red/blue lights of a police car behind me ( a patrol car had been following me a block and I did not notice!) that woke me up, kept me from going into a shallow ditch....I told her I was not drunk, just a tired guitar player.
She looks at my license and says
    "So, Are you Tony's dad?"
My (then) teenage son had a few ( stupid kid!) incidents with the locals...

As the late Douglas Adams said, people are a problem. It's not that difficult to be decent, and I think most people are. It only takes a relative few, however, to fill the headlines with jackassery.

    86.9 MPH?

You have to reach 80 MPH here, just to merge onto the interstate safely.

87 wouldn’t catch the attention of too many people.
