Sorry to hear of your troubles. Take care of your family... We'll still be here when you get back to the guitar.

    Best wishes.

Mike you and your family are in my families prayers. I think it's safe to say we will all be looking to see this work of beauty completed in due time.
I hope your daughter has a speedy recovery. Like b5 and a few others have said take care of yourself too!

Wow. Very sorry to hear. This guitar is a real beauty and it will be gorgeous when you get to finish it, but life has a way of doling out paradigm shifts. Wishing your daughter the speediest of recoveries.

Sorry to hear the bad news Mike. Hope all goes well, as great as building guitars is, it pales in comparison to care and love for our families. Best to all of you.

Really sorry to hear it Mike, but family must always come first. I'll make sure this gets moved to the THD so you can get back to it when you are in a better position. Best wishes to you and your family.

    Mike -

First - best to you and your girls. You have a full plate.

I just found this thread the other day and was loving your running commentary. I will never build a guitar or do any fine woodworking - but I love reading these threads and I am sure there are many more like me on TDPRI. To us arm chair quarterbacks - you guys make it look so - not easy - but doable. The back of that headstock - you glued - you trimmed - you sanded - and it came out like sculpture. Sculpture with a beautiful grain.

But what struck me was your equanimity when the first neck was ruined. No fuss - it happens - find a solution. Bet that balance helps in all aspects of life - like caring for a sick child.

    Be well -

    Terry

A situation to which I can closely relate, though I'm continually humbled by what they do with what they have..............especially compared to what I have done with my "talents" as it were .
My prayers and hopes are with you and your family ;)

Again, thanks a lot for all the encouragement.

Agreed. Everyone should know someone who struggles with a disability, whether physical or mental. It'll change the way you look at life. MHO.
