As we say in Texas, it's fixing to get hot.

Never fails to amuse me when people in the south complain about the heat. It was a nice cool 85f on my dog walk this morning. 0600.Maybelle didn't mind. 115f high today. Monster monsoon storm last night made it kinda sticky.Looking forward to another...

Texas gulf coast. Heat and humidity. Actually, it's been in the high 90s the last few days, so that means its less humid. I was on a roof on a callout earlier and hardly broke a sweat. If it would have been in the lower 90s my clothes would have been soaked.

I don't mind the heat. That said, I was out in the yard for an hour today and got a little sunburn on my arms and face.

Thank goodness I don't wear cargo shorts.

Don't think it doesn't get humid here.monsoon air is pretty thick. Was not crazy about it when I had to work outside in it all day.I'm starting to adjust to retirement and Mr. Carrier's great invention.

But, it's a dry heat. I moved out of ABQ back at the end of February. As a 50-year old man, I'll take July and August over December and January.

I'm roughly two hours ESE of Edmonton. It's 68 F (18C) right now at 19:34. It's a beautiful sunny (with a few clouds) evening. Tomorrow afternoon is calling for 62F (16C).

My temperature conversions from Celsius to Fahrenheit are a little off but close enough. I multiply the temperature in Celsius by 2 and add it to 32 (freezing temp in Fahrenheit). 1 degree Celsius is equal to 1.8 Fahrenheit degrees.

It was a sustained 110+ in my shop today. The DVD player kept shutting off due to overheating.

Tomorrow is supposed to be hot though.

Nah, man. You can always put more clothes on when its cold, but you can only take so many off when it's hot.

We've had triple-digit heat indices here in Florida for a week with no relief in sight. C'mon, autumn!

It's been nice the last three days here in Minnesota. Before that, we had temps in the 90's with dew points around 75ish for a couple weeks. And that sheet sucks. Wherever you are.
I've been going through two shirts at work. It's been so hot that I my stash of ice melt melted. o_O

already seeing people complain on the next door app for my neighborhood that they got 600 electric bills ...these are the ones who signed up for griddy and pay the current daily rates for power, when its hot power cost more.. ooops didnt think about that huh?

High Price Warning Today, 2-6p.m. A hotter than a normal day, coupled with potential generation outages could lead to electricity prices as high as $4/kWh.

HERE IN THE MEDITERRANEAN CLIMATE ZONE OF THE S.F. EAST BAY
TODAY WAS 75', TOMORROW COOLER 68' MOST OF THE WEEK 75 DAY TIME
    EVENINGS 56 -57 LOW.

and where I live, the hotel derelict my studio apartment is on the top floor of a large building that gets full exposure all day.
In my studio apartment the average temperature is between 80' and 85' year round. The roof heats up and stays warm , warming the floor below. Having lived in the valley out of our MEDITERRANEAN CLIMATE ZONE I have live in heat that was 104' at 4:30 a.m. outside. Soft asphalt squishing under your feet, dead calm heatwaves making everything shimmer like a strobe light, but at least it was a very dry heat.
