As a kid, or an adult, what kind of sweets were your favorite and do you still indulge?

I was munching on a KitKat a few minutes ago and got to wondering what your favorite candy is.

I rarely eat any candy or pastries both because of weight and the sugar isn't really good for me either. It's a rare thing when I have any will power but for some reason I do when it comes to sweets. Usually I buy myself 3 full size candy bars on my birthday and they usually are:a Payday, Baby Ruth, and a Clark bar if I can find them, otherwise a Snickers.

I indulge maybe 3 times a year including my birthday and it's a binge. A couple bags of those small candy bars really hits the spot with cold milk. That really is a match made in heaven. Anyhow, how about you?

I could eat sweets as a kid, and the Rowntree Macintosh factory is in our town :p and everybody had someone in their family with a card for the waste shop so we'd have Breakaways/Kit Kats and Aero's in't cupboards always :)

I find I like darker and darker chocolate. This hits the spot.

Funny, as of about a week ago, I’ve been giving my beloved sugar a break.
I’ve always loved sweets.
I was blessed with a fast metabolism, so luckily, it didn’t show till I became, uh, old.
I love all the usual suspects.
Baked stuff, chocolate, ice cream, and of course, good ol’ Coca Cola.
It’s high time I tried to wise up.
Wish me luck!

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, (original size version). I seldom eats sweets anymore but if I feel the urge I buy a 4 pack of Reese's and that usually put's me right for a month or two.

Not a big sweets guy, like cake, sweet rolls, candy in general, but I do eat too many things with too much sugar though. soooo... hmmmm ?
I like the Lindt 70% cacao
But I can go on cravings where I eat something like those bite size Snickers etc way too much.
Pie... I eat it.

Getting marginally diabetic, so trying to cut it off, but man EVERYTHING has sugar...
Trying to get used to Coke Zero for my nightly Rum and Coke. But it ain't the same.
I like Granola for breakfast but man, most of it is filled with sugar. Hard to find a good low sugar type that not loaded with odd spice and stuff.
Using some Stevia for my one cup of coffee in the a.m. But it ain't right.

Been switching to salty things more which is what I like anyway. Jerky, corn chips. I like dried Mango, but expensive and of course has it's own sugar in the fruit.

The kids and I have still been working through the bag of candy they gathered up on Halloween. One piece for each of us when I pack our lunches each morning. When we run out of things I like, I’ll skip placing one in my lunch. I expect the supply may last until next year at this rate.
