While not my least favorite song of theirs, ZZ Top's "Legs" was the beginning of a direction for them that kind of lost me. Again, not a bad song by any stretch but certainly not one of my favorites.

The Fabulous Thunderbirds "Tuff Enuff"...I don't mind the song--I kinda like it--but that is not their best work

Led Zep's "You Don't Have To Go"

Rubbish. I have to go every time I hear more than two bars of that song.

I love, love, LOVE ZZ Top. I have everything they ever released--and few things they didn't release!--but I really dislike "Velcro Fly"...and overall, I'm not crazy about most of that accompanying album (Afterburner)...the best stuff off of it never sniffed the radio.

rocky mountain way is such a bad example of Joes work. I still like it but geeez.....I think he phones it in now.

Zappa never got much radio and I have no idea what his most famous song is, maybe Valley Girl or some other strictly commercial version of some ridiculous example of satirical lyric typing (thats not writing, that's just typing) Anything deeper on any album is pure magic

Almost all of these entries are part of my argument for XM or spotify or anything but commercial radio. my RADIOS play NPR. My STEREOS play pay for play music.

Money for Nothing is in tight competition with Another brick in the wall, but there are also some cross-over jazz things that deserve honorable (dishonorable?) mentions like Breezing and Tequila.

absolutely any thing by Anthony Braxton the most kaotic jazz drivel ever , the best decription i can give is the aftermath of green beer, pickled eggs, chilli fest, you are in a pay washroom with a bent nickle and you're out of toilet paper, and once you gain access to the throne some one peed on the toilet seat, exciting for some but a waste of energy for others.

I think it's "Bobby Brown" and it definitely is my least favourite Zappa song/piece.

"Money For Nothing", by Dire Straits. The rest of the album is pretty good - just don't like the lyrics and distorted LP tone on MFN.

I'm a pretty big Metallica fan, even through the St. Anger years. But, the slight grunge factor of NEM has placed them squarely into the rotation of the local "alt rock" station these days, and timing has put both songs onto rotation of the local classic rock station.

Didn't read through the whole thread so it may have been mentioned.

I'd say La Bamba by Los Lobos.

ZZ Top is easily my favorite blues rock band, BUT I loathe, despise and hate their disco drum machine records.
"Gimme All Your Sharp Dressed Legs" makes me want to hurl.
I love all their records up to Eliminator, and
dropped them like a hot spud afterwards.
I realize I'm in the minority, and my opinion and 5 bucks will buy many nice drinks at Starbucks's.;)
