The mixture of quirkinesses and elegance of this guitar really appeals to me...
What do y’all think - cool or not cool?
I’ve seen some neat looking Aria guitars before on Reverb, but I can’t find another one like this that’s ever been for sale. Another weird thing... Many Aria guitars bear the name “Aria Diamond” on the headstock, but this one says “Diamonds” (plural).
    I might buy it...
Anyone here have experience with a similar model and/or an opinion on value?

    Thanks

That's a new one on me.
Never encountered such a guitar before.

I'd really need to play it before I spent money on it, that much is certain.

I’ve seen similar, but not one like that. And the Aria stuff has always looked a touch better than most of its contemporaries. I’d be sorely tempted, despite the downsides to guitars of that ilk.

when it comes to quirky oddballs, nobody can really tell you much. you've got to get it in your hands and see what it feels like for yourself, imo. it might be really nice or a Godawful turd.

looks very much, in fact, a lot like a Lyle I had in 1967/8. prolly came from the same factory... Matsumoku/moko. it was a decent guitar, especially for the money, and especially compared with other cheapo (non Gibson/Fender) guitars of the day. ego wise, it was a step above the Sears Silvertone guitar I had before. but, the Lyle kinda smelled vaguely like cat pee. not sure why. otherwise, it was great. but then... it was not a Gibson or a Fender and it had to go once I had enough money for the real deal. in 69 I bought a used (57)Strat, but wish I had it back now jut because. actually... I wish I had the Strat back too. paid $125 for it

It's kind of before Matsumoku's prime, but I would rock it.

Your Aria Diamond looks really different from mine...
